The Amazing Maize Maze will be open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in late summer through mid- October. With a growing interest in rural tourism in the U.S. this Maze in a cornfield has been recognized as a new twist on an old-time family entertainment and a unique educational opportunity for people of all ages. The Maze has all of the elements to illustrate that victory can be achieved through bravery, audacity, planning and perseverance. The Maze will challenge your skills in problem solving as you explore the nooks and crannies of the schoolhouse clock with a little "reading', writing 'n' arithmetic", game boards and puzzle pieces.

The Rural Hill Scottish Festival and Loch Norman Highland Games held each April on the slopes of Historic Rural Hill Farm in Huntersville, North Carolina, celebrate the heritage and culture of the Scottish immigrants who built Mecklenburg County and the Carolinas. It is one of the largest weekend events in the Lake Norman area attracting some 10-15000 visitors and participants each year. People have come from all over the United States, Canada, and as far away as Scotland, Ireland, England, Australia, and even South Africa to enjoy the festivities and the athletic competitions.
