Meeting room space 50 ppl/Gym - 150 ppl. After a fire in the early 1920’s destroyed her school, principal Ada Jenkins worked to raise money to build a new school, which became the first school for colored children in Davidson. This school is now the main building of the Ada Jenkins Center. Today, the center’s mission is “to improve the quality of life for the residents of our communities through the integrated delivery of health, education, and human services”.

The Beaver Dam Historic Park and Beaver Dam House are available to the public for rental throughout the year. Over 170 years old, the Beaver Dam House was renovated in the 1970's and today possesses a quaint air of nostalgia. The house was built by William Lee Davidson II, son of the inspiration for Davidson College’s name and when the Concord Presbytery held committee meetings about the formation of Davidson College, this was their meeting place. The park itself has a wide lawn shaded by old magnolias. This facility is ideal for business meetings, dinners, parties, weddings, and receptions.
Capacity for Inside - 40 ppl./Outside - 350 ppl. Ground accommodate 300 ppl; Heritage Center Accommodates 25 ppl. Latta Plantation circa 1800 is the last remaining Catawba River plantation open to the public. The 62 acre farm of James Latta, a Scot-Irish merchant, is on the National Register of Historic Sites and consists of the original home and smokehouse, enhanced by eleven other outbuildings, as well as fields, farm animals, a garden and interpreters in period clothing. Latta Plantation is conveniently located just 12 miles north of Charlotte.
Enjoy 265 acres of magnificent rural vistas, a variety of farm animals, and walking trails throughout the site. Eleven historic buildings and reconstructions provide a setting for cultural heritage events, preservation seminars and self-guided tours and games.
