A Warm Welcome to Travel and Golf Writers!



In an effort to get national/international attention for our area, Visit Lake Norman has joined forces with Visit Charlotte and Cabarrus County CVB to bring two groups of Travel Writers for familiarization tours of our region. The first “Speed, Splash & Sizzle” tour is April 20-24 and welcomes writers whose publications include: Budget Travel, Travel & Leisure, Travel World News, Family Motorcoaching, Modern Bride, Lifestyles Magazine, Go World Travel, Destination Weddings, Food and Beverage International, GOLF Magazine, Successful Meetings Magazine, Golf Vacations, plus numerous contributions to newspapers, radio and travel websites including Bootsnall.com. The writers come from all over the US and Canada. There will be a second tour in July.

For their time in Lake Norman, the writers will have entertaining information sessions provided by several area attractions, indulge in local fare, cruise the lake on a yacht, tour three racing-related facilities, battle it out on the Extreme Speedpark’s track, and feel the pulse of nightlife at Birkdale Village.
