Lake Norman is located in the heart of North Carolina which allows visitors to make a day trip to some crowd-pleasing attractions in the state. For the sports fanatic, take a 30 minute drive to Charlotte Motor Speedway or Bank of America Stadium to see the home facility of the Carolina Panthers. Visit one of the nation’s finest zoos in Asheboro or drive a couple hours to Asheville and tour Biltmore Estates, the largest home in America. From museums like the NASCAR Hall of Fame to outdoor adventures like Carowinds and the U.S. National Whitewater Center, the lakeside of Charlotte is the ideal spot to stay in North Carolina and catch a glimpse of what all the state has to offer.
