About
Lake Norman is safe and open for travel following Hurricane Helene. While we are fortunate to avoid the worst, our hearts go out to those who have been affected in neighboring regions. For those in need, we currently have limited hotel room availability for individuals displaced by the hurricane. Western NC Travel Advisory
Come explore the largest outdoor playground in the Carolinas. Bring your own boat, canoe, kayak or rent a pontoon for a day of fun on the lake. Take a trail ride, bike or hike at a nature preserve or on the greenways. Want to fish for small and large mouth bass, striper, white bass, bluegill, spot, and catfish? Lake Norman has several fishing guides and operators available for private tours, and there are several favorite fishing spots around the lake. Lake Norman sports can mean a variety of things from water skiing, wakeboarding, and paddleboarding to rowing and sailing. Take the kids to one of the many surrounding public parks or grab a racquet and hit the tennis courts. Below are listings for area parks, greenways, bikeways, horseback riding areas, golf, and more.
