To Our Visitors: Post-Hurricane Helene

Lake Norman is safe and open for travel following Hurricane Helene. While we are fortunate to avoid the worst, our hearts go out to those who have been affected in neighboring regions. For those in need, we currently have limited hotel room availability for individuals displaced by the hurricane. Western NC Travel Advisory

Hiking & Biking In Lake Norman

Go at your own pace and explore the community parks and greenways

Walk, bike, run, or hike! Spending time outside is one of the easiest ways to improve your mental health and well-being. The Lake Norman region has greenways connecting each town as well as trails that are part of the Carolina Thread Trail. And many roads are cycle-friendly with marked bike lanes.

The Kincaid Trail located at the end of South Street in Davidson is the official marking of the South Prong Greenway as part of the Carolina Thread Trail, a regional network of greenways and trails that reaches 15 counties, 2 states and 2.9 million people.
